Humans Radio (“Humans Radio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Humans Radio listening app and website (including listen.humanspresents.com and related Humans Radio services, collectively the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

You can listen to Humans Radio without providing any personal information. Guest listening requires no account and no personal data is collected simply by streaming the station.

If you choose to create an account, we collect:

Email address — used to create and secure your account, and to let you log in from any device.
Password — stored securely using industry-standard one-way encryption (hashing). We never store or have access to your actual password.
Display name (optional) — if you choose to provide one.

If you use features that require an account, we may also collect:

Favorites — tracks or DJs you choose to save.
Song requests — if you submit a request, we collect the track information you provide.

We do not collect payment information, precise location data, or device contacts.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

Create and maintain your account
Let you save and access your Favorites across sessions and devices
Process song requests you submit
Communicate with you about your account (e.g., password resets, important service notices)
Maintain the security and integrity of the Service

Marketing and station updates: At this time, we do not send marketing emails or newsletters. If we introduce email updates about the station in the future, we will only send them to users who explicitly opt in, and you will always be able to unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any purpose, ever.

3. Cookies and Session Data

We use a secure session cookie to keep you logged in after you sign in. This cookie is necessary for the Service to function for signed-in features (Favorites, song requests) and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

4. Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of service providers to operate Humans Radio:

Brevo (email delivery) — used to send account-related emails. Brevo processes the email addresses necessary to deliver these messages on our behalf and does not use your information for its own marketing purposes.
AzuraCast / streaming infrastructure — powers our live audio stream. Standard connection information (such as IP address) may be logged by our streaming infrastructure as part of normal internet operation, the same way any website or streaming service logs connections for security and reliability.

We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or security purposes.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your account and associated personal information
Withdraw consent for optional communications at any time

7. Children's Privacy

Humans Radio is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure password hashing and encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
